I watched Viva Laughlin and had the same thought as you. They are trying to find a plot so they can string a few songs together -- and the actors' voices are hard to hear over Elvis, the Stones and Blondie (that's as far as I made it) -- which may or may not be a good thing. I'm just back from Santa Fe, where Peggy (she used to watch you on Austin TV) and I spent a few days away from our respective jobs. I spent last night getting caught up on some TV shows that I missed, Laughlin among them. I should have stuck it out to see if it was cancelled halfway through the program.
