Posted by Rob Sherwood Tuesday, 2008-October-28 07:34 Marco is talking about the old building in Downtown Green Bay that housed the station I worked at in 1966-67. My opinion is that building was so old it was built before asbestos was discovered. The towers you mention were right by San Francisco Bay by Bay Bridge. Those were the AM towers. (KIQI) At the time I worked there it featured Spanish language programming. The FM towers (KIOI) were on top of Mount San Bruno to the south of The City. Our studios were in what had been one of the original Bank Of Americas. In fact, over the portal of the front door at Montgomery & Washington & Columbus, in stone were the words Bank Of Italy. In order to get our signal from this high-rise canyon, we micro-waved it to the Fairmont Hotel roof on top of Nob Hill and from there to San Bruno Mountain. There a very unusual direction FM signal!! of 100,000 watts did the job. Unlike the KO93 tower for Modesto, the road to the top of the mountain was paved and scenic and used often. From their proliferation, I assume that the top of Mount San Bruno was where old condoms went to die. R Pages: 1 - 2

Bloly v1.3 by SoftCab Inc
I think that the government should give everyone a Jag. That would be nice. But that isn't how socialism works. (Think Cuba) Everyone will get a Cav. But it won't matter anyway, because why should anyone schlep groceries as a grocery valet when they can sit at home on their ass, supported by the Uncle Sucker, watching Jerry Springer. Come to think about it you won't even get a Cav. You can just buy your groceries from the locally government subsidized store. With luck you won't have to stand in line for a loaf of bread more than a couple of hours.
